Will medical assistance be available?

Yes. Professional medical staff will be present throughout the event. Emergency services will be contacted if necessary.

Do you have recommendations for food and coffee?

Traditional Czech cuisine: Lokál, Kuchyň or Kantýna. Modern and international dining: Čestr, Kro Kitchen, L Osteria or Da Pietro. Brunch and coffee: Café Fin, Eska, Můj šálek kávy or The Miners.

Where can I go shopping?

In the city center, visit Palladium. Other major shopping centers include Westfield Chodov, Novy Smichov and Galerie Harfa.

What are the must-see sights?

Do not miss Prague Castle with St. Vitus Cathedral, Charles Bridge and Old Town Square with the Astronomical Clock. For panoramic views and a relaxed atmosphere, visit Vyšehrad or Petřín Hill.

Is Prague a safe city?

Yes, Prague is generally very safe. As in any major tourist destination, keep an eye on your belongings and watch for pickpockets in crowded areas and public transport.

What is the local currency? Can I pay by card?

The official currency is the Czech Crown (CZK). Card payments are widely accepted almost everywhere in Prague, but it is useful to carry a little cash for small purchases.

Can I park in the city?

Street parking is regulated by paid parking zones. You can pay via the PID Lítačka app or parking meters. Always check local street signs to avoid fines or towing.

Are taxis safe to use?

For convenient and reliable transport, use ride-hailing apps like Uber or Bolt. Avoid unofficial street taxis, especially around major tourist areas.

How should I get around Prague?

Prague has an efficient public transport system with metro, trams and buses. The historic center is best explored on foot. For longer distances, download the official PID Lítačka app to plan routes and buy tickets.

What happens after a red card or disqualification?

A suspended player automatically misses the next scheduled game. Serious aggression can result in expulsion from the event.

Can teams submit complaints or protests?

Yes. Complaints must be submitted in writing within 2 hours after the match or incident and include a 50 EUR non-refundable deposit. Complaints can be submitted in English or Spanish.

Who can participate?

Players must meet the age requirement of their category or reach the required age during the calendar year of the event.

Is health insurance required?

Yes. Every participant must have valid personal health and accident insurance for the whole event duration. The organizer does not provide individual insurance coverage.

How are ties in standings decided?

Indoor: head-to-head result, set ratio, then point ratio.

Beach: ball ratio decides tied standings.

Can Beach Volleyball teams substitute players?

Yes, but only for teams with 3 players and only during side switches.

What happens if a team is late?

Teams arriving more than 10 minutes late may lose the match by forfeit.

How are Beach Volleyball matches played?

FIVB rules apply. Matches are best of 3 sets. Sets are played to 21 points and a tiebreak to 15 points. Teams must win by 2 points.

How are Indoor matches played?

Group stage: 2 sets to 25 points. A deciding set is played to 15 points with a killer point at 15. No 2-point difference is required in the first sets.

Semifinals and finals: the deciding set requires a 2-point advantage.

Are team jerseys mandatory?

Yes. All players must wear jerseys during matches. Playing shirtless is not allowed.

What is included in the registration fee?

The registration fee includes an official IVVA T-shirt or jersey, welcome drink, unlimited water during matches, Opening & Closing Ceremony access, newsletter and event materials, discount coupons and key tag.

How many players can be on a team?

Indoor Volleyball:
Minimum: 7 players
Maximum: 14 players

Beach Volleyball:
Minimum: 2 players
Maximum: 3 players

Can a player play in two categories?

Yes. A player may participate in two age categories if they are age eligible for both categories. Registration fees apply for each team separately.
